From the Highlands to Your Home
Welcome to Alba Printlabs.
We set up shop in April 2025, right here in Aberdeenshire on the edge of the Scottish Highlands. The idea was straightforward: pair modern 3D printing technology with genuine, hands-on craftsmanship.
What started as a hobby quickly turned into a busy production studio. Surrounded by the hills and glens, our very first project was naturally inspired by the outdoors—3D printed topographical trail maps. We wanted to give hikers and Munro baggers a tactile way to hold their achievements.
We didn’t stop at maps. As gamers, makers, and tinkerers ourselves, we knew the same precision used to map a mountain could solve everyday frustrations. Today, our workshop turns out a wide mix of gear:
- Board Game Accessories: Reliable card shufflers and custom inserts to keep your game boxes perfectly organised.
- Cosplay & Collectables: High-detail props and masks built tough enough to survive a busy convention weekend.
- Scottish Decor: Stags and Highland Cow figures to add a wee bit of Scotland to your shelves.
- Tool Organisers: Heavy-duty, impact-resistant inserts designed to handle the daily grind of the trade.
Custom 3D Scanning
Alongside our printing, we also offer custom 3D scanning. Using our handheld scanner, we can digitise physical objects to reverse-engineer broken parts, duplicate existing items, or capture custom shapes for cosplay fitting. Because of the tech we use, we are limited by size—we can’t scan a whole car—but if it fits on a workbench or is roughly head-and-shoulders sized, we can scan it, tweak the design, and print a physical copy.
The Alba Standard
Every single item is printed, hand-inspected, and finished right here in our workshop. We invest in reliable machines and quality materials so that whatever you order is built to last.
We love a challenge and we’re always happy to adapt. Have a specific vision in mind? Whether you need a custom colour or a wee modification to a design, just give us a shout and we’ll make it happen.
